Set in 600 acres of beautiful parkland near Dunstable in Bedfordshire, The Zoo, like ZSL London Zoo, is run by the Zoological Society of London, a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.

There are tigers, elephants, hippos and giraffes in huge outdoor enclosures. There is also a Lions of the Serengeti attraction, cheeky chimpanzees, rhinos and Asian elephants. You can drive your car round the scenic park, or hop on and off the free Safari Bus. Alternatively, experience the Jumbo Express train for an exciting adventure.  There are daily live talks, demonstrations and feeds, beautiful picnic areas with stunning views over the Chilterns and the Vale of Aylesbury.
