Western Area Shopping Bath

...an excellent mix of local independent shops

Good quality local food and drinks sit alongside restaurants and cafes and retail outlets to give the visitor plenty to interest them and places to while away a few hours and watch the world go by.

The Western area covers Green Park Station, Bath Farmer’s Market, Kingsmead Square and St James Parade where you will be delighted and spoilt for choice in the variety of small retail outlets and market stalls which offer good quality products at good prices.

Head to Green Park Station market where every Saturday you will find the Bath Farmer’s market with stalls for food and drink including bread, cheese, meat and fish. All goods come from under 40 miles away and are sold by the very people who grow and produce them. There’s also flowers, hand crafted pottery, local arts and crafts and plenty of second hand items that may take your fancy.

There are plenty of events from local music to dancing and arts displays taking place throughout the year so why not pop along and take a look, you won’t be disappointed. The building itself is something to behold, as is much of Bath, as it still has the original vaulted iron and glass station roof and Bath stone facade.

Other attractions in the area:
Pulteney Bridge
Royal Victoria Gardens
Victoria Art Gallery
The Circus
