Built in the 1800’s, Welyarde was originally three separate cottages with a farmers field behind. It is now a single cottage with three bedrooms, and the farmers field has become a beautiful garden.
Newly refurbished from top to bottom, Welyarde sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (two doubles, one king size). There is a wood burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is plenty of space to store muddy boots and wet weather gear if the sun isn’t shining! The bathroom has the best view in the village (over Welyarde’s fabulous garden!) and has a shower-bath.
The garden is Welyarde’s crowning glory. It started life as a farmer’s field, and was then turned into a beautifully landscaped garden - featuring in the 1980’s in its very own episode of Gardener’s World! It’s now not quite so manicured as it was in those days, but still a beautiful space for you (and your dogs, if you have them) to relax in.
