Our Park is centrally located in a quiet corner of Dorset. Castles, coves and a spectacular coastline await your pleasure. Miles of golden sandy beaches and secluded coves. The Purbeck Hills and its Heritage Coast is a fascinating place to explore. Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Kimmeridge and  Studland offer beaches to suit everyone's taste. Swanage, Poole, Weymouth and Bournemouth are close to hand and provide all the activities the kids and family could want. Pretty villages in soft landscape, quaint  pubs, country gardens and stately homes offer an escape and relaxation. So much to see and do. . . so little time.

We have 200 electric pitches available to tents, trailer tents, caravans and motor homes. 112 of these pitches are on hardstandings. The site's 43 acres also offers a free choice of non electric locations: near the play area, by the pool or perhaps in one of our woodland camping locations. Two modern toilet blocks each have free adjustable showers, individual cubicles for the ladies and gents, disabled facilities, laundry equipment and deep sink areas for dishwashing. The children enjoy their large play area with its adventure playground where they meet friends, play football, cricket or rounders. The more energetic campers have direct access from our Park to the 14 sq.miles of Wareham Forest which can be explored on foot or perhaps on your mountain bikes. A heated outdoor swimming pool with its grass and patio area is the ideal place to relax or for the kids to wear themselves out. Our shop caters for most requirements, and there is a family room with Table Tennis tables.

Touring Caravans

Our touring pitches offer guests the opportunity to cohabit with wildlife, woodland and heathland habitats found within the park and surrounding forest.

Our touring pitches are hard standing and grass, offering electric hook-up and are conveniently located for use of the free toilet and shower facilities. Our selection of Luxury Superior Pitches each have their own tap and waste water point, drain, television aerial point and refuge collection point.

Our guests have access to laundry rooms, dish washing facilities and we can offer a Calor gas exchange service and wireless internet access.

We pride ourselves on our touring pitches and we regularly take steps to improve them so that they remain of the highest standard.

Woodland Camping Pitches

Camping without electric offers a multitude of options. We allow camping amongst the trees in the Glade or the Firs, open camping in the South and East fields woodland camping pitch areas your choice.

Please note because of the natural surroundings open fires and naked flames are prohibited. Barbecues are allowed as long as they are off the ground and burning gas or charcoal only.

Rallies

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Wareham Forest Tourist Park as a venue for your Club Rallies. We are able to accommodate rallies during Low and Mid Season, for a minimum of 10 units, and up to a maximum of 75 units. We have a heated function room for your Rally Flag meetings and social events.

The Park is owned of Tony and Sarah Birch. During our time we have made many changes and improvements, and we would like to offer your Chairman, Rally Secretary or a committee member a complimentary overnight pitch to come and visit us to view the park and our facilities, with a view to future Rally Bookings.

Please contact ourselves or Liz, our Office Manager, for further details, and we look forward to welcoming you to

Wareham Forest in the near future.

Seasonal Pitches

We offer two types of Seasonal pitch at Wareham Forest, a full Seasonal pitch, from the beginning of March to the end of October, and a Semi-Seasonal Pitch, which excludes the Summer High Season Period. We have set up our Seasonal Pitches in a slightly different way to some Parks, in that we charge a lower pitch fee initially for the caravan and awning, and then have a daily charge for the number of occupants and extras based on the normal rate card tariff for that time of the year. We would normally expect caravans to be used for at least five to six weeks in a season.

The Pitches are all Hard Standing, with a variety of sizes and outlooks, located in their own relaxing area of the Park. Many guests return year after year to enjoy the tranquillity of our Park, arranging to meet their friends during the summer, and sending each other Christmas Cards at home over the winter!

As a guide, our charges for the Pitch for 2010 are:

SEASONAL PITCH: £1725.00

1st March - 31st October

SEMI-SEASONAL PITCH: £1175.00

1st March - 14th July, then 4th September - 31st October

Storage is available if required between 14th July and 4th September at normal storage rates. Semi-Seasonal pitches have water and drainage Hookup points.

All the Seasonal Pitches are very popular, and we have enquiries throughout the year for the few pitches that come available each season. We do tend to offer them firstly to people that have their caravan in storage with us, or are making good use of the Park already on a regular basis, so that they know what we have to offer before making a large commitment, but we do have flexibility with this policy. A small deposit is normally required in September, and then the balance payable by the end of October of the preceding year. Storage and caravan moving facilities are available in between the seasons at normal rate card tariffs, so many of our guests do not even have an expensive tow car, as the caravans are delivered direct to the Park. Please do come and visit the Park to look around, chat with our friendly team and the Guests, and see what we have to offer.

Caravan Storage

We provide a storage service for customers who make regular use of our Park, charged at £11.55 per week for the storage, with a tow out fee of £10.00 per booking.

Pitch Types
