(near Barmouth) - Four Bedroom North Wales Holiday Cottage with sea views. Fantastic seaside location, private garden and an immaculate property. A perfect self catering base.

I should have taken some photos of the guest book in the cottage for you, as the same comments come up time and time again. “Attention to detail”, “immaculate”, “perfect in every way”. And you can see why the minute you step in the door. It’s impossible to criticize this North Wales holiday cottage. Everything from the seaside location and general layout down to the cushions and tasteful ornaments are exactly as they should be.

In the kitchen-diner, oak fitted units house a very well equipped kitchen. This is complemented by oak dining chairs and table, immediately providing a sense of style and quality that prevails throughout the cottage. The room is made bright and airy by the French doors that open out onto the patio and private lawned garden where guests can enjoy uninterrupted sea views of the Cambrian coastline and the Llyn Peninsula beyond.

Next to the kitchen a small utility room includes a washing machine, clothes dryer and extra work surface. There is also a convenient ground floor wc and washbasin adjacent to the back door.

From the dinning area we enter a very spacious lounge. Two large leather sofas face onto an impressive living flame gas fire (complete with remote control) and a wide screen digital TV. Plush cream carpets (so no dogs allowed) and coordinating furnishings finish off the room to perfection.

A wide oak staircase leads off the lounge up to the first floor. 4 bedrooms in total. 3 doubles and a single room. The first double room has a king sized bed as well as an en-suite shower room. This first bedroom also benefits from floor to ceiling windows making the most of that fantastic sea view.

The second bedroom is equally spacious and also has a king sized bed. The third bedroom is a little smaller so has the standard double bed. (Funnily enough, although smaller, this was probably my favorite bedroom. It’s the one with the brown pillow in the attached pictures.) Again, both these bedrooms enjoy sea views. Finally a single bedroom is also generously proportioned and like the others, has tasteful bedside tables and lamps and matching dressing table. All the bedrooms have their own TV.

Finally the family bathroom has a shower over bath arrangement. And, like the rest of the house, everything is immaculately clean and orderly.

Dyffryn Ardudwy is the perfect location for this North Wales holiday cottage with sea views. A bustling sea side village half way between Harlech and Barmouth on the western edge of Snowdonia. The village has a butchers, post office and small grocery shop as well as a couple of cafés and two pubs serving food. (The pubs are within easy walking distance of the house.) The larger towns of Barmouth and Harlech offer a wider selection of shops and restaurants and are 10 minutes away by car.

The area’s most obvious draw is the miles of clean sandy beaches nearby. But guests should also take the opportunity to explore the rugged Rhinog mountains also accessible from the house. Snowdon itself is a 40 minute drive to the north.

Other activities within a short car journey include mountain biking at Coed Y Brenin, white water rafting at Tryweryn and pony trekking in Betws Y Coed. Smaller independent activity providers will also take you gorge walking, kite surfing, climbing etc. Two many to mention.

You can’t drive for more than five minutes in this area without passing an ancient burial ground, castle or some sort of historic monument. And our more recent industrial past can be re-lived with trips on narrow gauge steam railways and by exploring underground slate mines.

Or, you could just sit on the patio, read a book, drink a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

"We stayed here in may 2013, and its the best holiday let we have ever purchased and stayed in.
The property is kept to a very high standard and has everything you need for a break.
There’s local pubs which are in hotels and also post office petrol station and spar. The shops are just under a mile walk and the beach is a good walk away further than stated but there are some walking paths and vehicular access just near talybont.
We had good weather, comfort and the house was perfect for everyone as we had a 4 month baby and a 3 year old.
We would definitely recommend this property and company to our friends and will hopefully return again soon."

"Just returned from a lovely half-term break at Tyn-Buarth, it is a lovely house finished to a very high standard, spotless and well equipped with quality products. A very nice terrace and enclosed garden make it perfect for young children and the sheep in the next field are lovely.
The local Spar has a very good butchers especially tasty sausages! Local hotel/pub ok but nothing special.Nice farm park nearby was a hit with the children, Harlech Castle was enjoyed as was locally made ice cream and Harlech beach. Decent beach also at Bennar with fish & chip shop at nearly caravan park.
We would have no qualms recommending this house as a perfect base for a large family group or group of friends and would certainly return ourselves.
As an aside one of our group left an item of jewellery by the time we got home the owners had phoned and left a message on our answerphone and then returned it by special delivery within 48 hours – a big thanks for this"

"Three generations of our family, including a 3 month baby and a 2 year old returned yesterday from a fabulous stay at Tyn-Buarth. The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived, with good quality furniture and furnishings. We even had 7 days of endless sunshine! The house was big enough for all of us, with a lovely safe garden for the children to play in which backed onto a field of sheep which they enjoyed.
The walk down to the beach was about 15 mins by the road, but the scenery was just beautiful, so it was never a problem. The slate caverns & childrens farm just outside Harlech was a big hit with adults and children alike.
The holiday was a big hit for everyone, and no-one wanted to leave! The only slight issue was that there was only just enough crockery & cutlery for all of us, which meant that the dishwasher was going almost constantly… Also, a full length mirror in the bedrooms would be beneficial. That aside, we would thoroughly recommend this property with no hesitation at all."
