This traditional Welsh stone cottage is situated in the foothills of Snowdon, just 6 miles from the summit and 4 miles outside of Caernarfon, in the small village of Waunfawr.
The Cottage Accommodation
Downstairs - Lounge/dinning room with double sofa bed ( so could sleep 1 or 2 extra if required). Fully-equipped Kitchen (incl. fridge/freezer, microwave, oven/hob and washing machine). 1 decent size double bedroom with substantial ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Double-glazed and brand new central heating throughout. Bed linen provided.
It has a rear private garden which is a sun-trap in good weather and has dramatic rural views in all weathers.
As the property has recently been refurbished, a 'good house-keeping deposit' of £100 required at time of booking, refunded at the end of the holiday pending inspection.
The Cottage Location
The village of Waunfawr has a pub/hotel, take-away, riding stables, world class climbing centre and is home to the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway which runs from Caernarfon to Beddgelert.
The beaches at Dinas Dinlle and Anglesey are easily accessible, as are several Castles. The start of the Ranger path to Snowdon itself is only a couple of miles away. The cottage is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, walkers and climbers.
