The White Hart Royal Hotel is conveniently located in the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. The hotel was once a coaching inn where King Charles I sheltered following the battle of Marston Moor on 2nd July 1644. A copy of the King’s unpaid bill is commemorated on a plaque within the entrance lobby.
