The Royal Inn at Par, St Austell is situated on the outskirts of the charming villages of Par and Tywardreath. This 4 star Inn has traditional ales as part of its Cornish Pub.
The bedrooms at the Royal Inn have 4 star style and quality and allied to a traditional freehouse Cornish pub which serves excellent food and drink. Its all informal, relaxing and with a friendly welcome.
There are 15 rooms and all are newly created. The rooms vary from standard to premier class with twin, king-size and super-king beds, with many rooms featuring a sofa bed for children up to the age of 14. There is a disabled room specifically designed to accommodate the needs of guests in wheelchairs.
All of the rooms are decorated to a high standard and have TVs with DVD players, a CD player and clock/alarm radio, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, refreshment tray and complimentary wireless broadband. All rooms have en-suite facilities with full sized baths and overhead shower.
The restaurant comprises two rooms which lead off from the bar. The first room is cosy with a beamed ceiling to seat around 20 and the second is the Ladybird Conservatory, which can seat up to 30 and has wheelchair access. There are a fine selection of world wines and serve liqueur coffees to compliment your meal.
The Royal Inn is the only genuine freehouse in the area andare therefore not ‘tied’ to any brewery. They can offer a genuinely different selection of real ales from local and national brewers along with a good selection of lagers and world wines.
The bar itself is an open plan area with plenty of space to enjoy a drink or a meal. The welcoming and cosy ambience is enhanced by wooden beams which originally came from the old fruit market in Plymouth and the mixture of slate and wood floors adds to its appeal.
There is a raised stage area in the bar where you can hear local bands perform different varieties of music at the weekends during the winter months.
