The Hodder Show

Introduction

The Hodder Show is annual event held in one of three locations in the beautiful Forest of Bowland.

The Hodder Valley Show is on Saturday 12th September, 2009 at Slaidburn, Clitheroe Lancashire.

The event is a traditional agricultural and horticultural show, being the perfect family day out, with something for everyone to enjoy. Every year the show is visited by upwards of 3000 people, experiencing a slice of rural life in an idyllic setting.

This year there will be over 1450 exhibits to see, including:

A Farmers Market selling local produce
One of the best Heavy Horse Shows in the country.
Sheep show including rare breeds.
Cattle show.
Flower, Vegetable and Handicraft classes.
Sheepdog Trial.
Dog and Duck racing.
Sheep Shearing Demonstrations.
Vintage Tractors, cars, and stationary engines.
Fell Races, for Seniors, Juniors, Ladies and Veterans.
Children's Acrobatic Display.
Slaidburn Silver Band.
Malhamdale Falconry, Falconry Display
Climbing wall and Cresta Run.
Children's Pet Parade.
Up to 20 craft stalls, including local crafts people, come and get your Christmas presents early!
Beer Tent and several food stalls.
Many Trade Stands including Local Traders proud to support the show.

Car parking is free. On site toilet facilities.
