Try a fish and chip lunch from a choice of two chippys or a lovely evening meal in the George Hotel. Stagger back from the Star Inn for the last glass of wine on the cottage balcony looking over the twinkling village lights.
But best not indulge yourselves too much because tomorrow could be strenuous. Walking routes from the door, visit well dressings in the local villages. Spot the kingfisher as you wander down Millers Dale. Gaze at the rainbow over the waterfall in lovely Monsal Dale. Save a day or two, hanging up your boots, to visit Derbyshire’s endless collection of other holiday attractions!
Tideswell’s parish church is known as 'the Cathedral of the Peak' and was described by no less an authority than Sir John Betjeman as 'a grand and inspiring church of the 14th century.'
