Set in the Norfolk village of Thornage, Sexton's Cottage is a charming artist's cottage, about 200 years old, constructed of brick and flint with a pantile roof and a number of unusual features.
Sexton's Cottage has recently been completely modernised but retains its traditional character and is furnished in sympathetic style, mostly with genuine antiques. Thornage is an attractive flint village, typical of Norfolk, in the middle of rolling farmland, only four miles from the sea at Blakeney and two miles from the market town of Holt.
The cottage has three bedrooms, one double, one twin and a single.
The cottage faces south, is off the road and has in front of it a raised terrace and lawn with flower beds and garden furniture from where the hollyhocks and (fruiting) vines can be admired. Beyond that is a secluded mature orchard producing cherries, apples, plums and damsons, all of which you are welcome to eat.
All the rooms, the terrace, garden and orchard enjoy sun throughout the day.
Duvets, pillows and bedspreads for all beds are provided but SHEETS, DUVET COVERS, TOWELS, PILLOWCASES AND TEA TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
