Introduction

Pegwell Bay at Ramsgate
This is an area of unprotected sea cliffs with considerable geological interest and a sandy bay used by great numbers of seashore birds. The bay is part of Kent's largest National Nature Reserve. Viking Ship 'Hugin' stands on the cliff top overlooking the bay.

Main Sands at Ramsgate

This is the resort’s popular main sandy beach which is approximately 250 metres long with a promenade. The resort beach is situated next to the superb Royal Harbour and Marina.

• deckchairs and sun loungers for hire

• lift
• shops and children's amusements nearby.

Disabled toilets open from the week before Easter to the end of September. Between 1st May and 30th September dogs are not allowed on the beach at all.
