Situated on a steep wooded hillside at the southern end of Snowdonia, this former miner’s cottage makes a great retreat for a couple, small family or group sleeping 4.
A gate, slate steps and a path lead to the conservatory entrance with space to store walking boots and coats.
A stable door leads into this cosy room, which has a carpeted floor with rugs and an open fire. It is furnished with an eclectic mix of new and old including two sofas and an armchair, coffee table, TV with DVD and sideboard. On your arrival we’ll make sure there’s a basket of logs, so you can start your break around the luxury of a roaring fire.
The Kitchen/Diner has everything you need to prepare tasty meals on nights in. It has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and combination microwave.
The washing machine and sink are located in room off of the kitchen so you can leave the washing up until the next day if you want, after all you are on holiday!
This stylish room has an extra large shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and a fan heater. If you need it, there’s a door from the outside into the shower room for sandy or muddy people and dogs!
Stairs lead from the sitting room to the two bedrooms which both have traditional sloped ceilings of tongue and groove panelling, exposed floor boards and rugs.
The main bedroom has the cottages best features on display, wooden floors, original walls and panelling. It has a comfortable double bed, bedside tables with lamps, double wardrobe and a dressing table.
This versatile room is great for kids with its twin beds, bedside tables with lamps and a chest of drawers. We can easily make the beds up as a double upon request. There is a cupboard for hanging clothes in on the landing.
