As too is Buxton which is a much shorter journey of 15-20 minutes to the famous Buxton Opera House.

The landscapes of the Peak District National Park are not only stunning, but are also considered to be the finest rock climbing and caving destinations in England. However many times you visit, mountain biking, fishing and walking in the Peak District will always inspire and thrill.  For individuals who thrive on adrenalin on holiday, there are a variety of facilities in the nearby vicinity, for a vast range of sports. Peak District rock climbing courses are among the best in the whole of the UK, catering for all levels of ability, and there are even opportunities to enjoy water sports on the Peak District's many lakes.

For those who prefer to independently explore the Peak District, information on routes are readily available for walking, horse riding and mountain biking and all close by and convenient from your stay in one of our Peak District Cottages at Uppermoor Farm. The Peak Forest Lead Mines walks, Deepdale walks and Upper Dovedale walks are just some of the many popular walks in the Peak District, but there are some nearby excellent trails and bridle paths, to try from your stay in a Peak District cottage at Uppermoor Farm, the most famous being The Tissington Trail and the High Peak Trail.
