Milkmaid’s Cottage is a lovely spacious one-bedroom cottage with wonderful views across the Hope Valley. The super King 6’ bed.and two bathrooms had the touch of luxury.
The optional double sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional use. Also upstairs is a small room
adjacent to the bedroom which would be suitable for a child’s cot. This cottage has been awarded a 5-star grading by the tourist authority.

The sitting room is spacious for just two people and has a lovely corner fireplace made of old oak timbers reclaimed from the original barn. The fire is a very effective ‘living-flame’ electric stove.
Everything is brand new - the furnishings and equipment are to the highest standard with careful attention to detail to make your stay memorable. Milkmaid’s Cottage has full central heating and double glazing, two bathrooms: one upstairs with a bath, basin and WC, and a downstairs shower room with basin and WC. With TV, CD, DVD in the cosy sitting room and oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer in the kitchen areas, everything is provided for you. There is also an adjacent laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your free use.WiFi also available
Outside is your private parking area with seating to enjoy a barbecue and drink, enjoying the view across the valley.
We welcome well behaved dogs by arrangement.

Six friendly pubs serving home cooked food and an Italian restaurant in Castlton village 1 mile, post offive/ newsagents, general store. Spar shop in Hope(8am-!0pm), 2 cafes, Chinese restaurant, Indian takeaway/ restaurant, pizza delivery, art/craft gallery-and the fish and chip shop 4 miles.
Walking from the door
Glorrious walilng from the door to Mam Tor Ridge, Castleton's caverns or up the Edale Valley and on to Win Hill towards Derwent and Ladybower, or down the valley past the Roman fort site to Bamford, Hathersage and Stanage Edage.

Castleton) has Peveril Castle, , Peak Park information centre, Blue John Caverns Speedwelll Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern Peak Cavern and lots of gift shops,cafés and pubs.
Eyam (5 miles) - has village heritage and Eyam Hall is well worth a visit.
Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park are all lovely houses to visit within 12 miles.
Both Manchester and Sheffield are accessible by train from tiny Hope station (1.5 miles).
Bakewell and Buxton (excellent July Arts festival) are within 12 miles.
Fishing, golf, summer swimming, gliding and climbing all within 5 miles. Pony trekking 5 miles the fish and Chip shop just 4 miles away!
