An introduction to Llanerch Vineyard
Vines were first planted at Llanerch in 1986 and were subsequently planted each year until 1991, when a total of nearly seven acres of vines were growing. Llanerch is currently the largest commercial vineyard in Wales producing estate-grown wines. These are marketed under the Cariad label.
We welcome visitors to tour the vineyard. Why not purchase our finest Estate Edition wines available exclusively at the vineyard and find out more about the exclusive Llanerch Wine Club?
Why not stay? The idyllic setting of the vineyard makes it the perfect retreat.
Situated close to the M4, and with easy access to the Glamorgan coast, West Wales and the moors and mountains of the Brecon Beacons, the comfortable, high quality bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation at Llanerch Vineyard makes it the perfect place to stay.

Calon, the recently opened restaurant, offers an unrivalled dining experience in Wales.
The menus planned by Award winning Michelin Star Chef Hywel Jones and his protégé Head Chef Michael Edwards are heavily influenced by top-quality local and seasonal ingredients which are prepared with intelligence and respect.
Combined with fine wines and a relaxed atmosphere you can dine in comfort whilst enjoying the views of the glorious vineyard.
The concise menu is definitely a prime example of quality over quantity. Starters will excite and afford anticipation for the main course. Find the likes of confit of organic salmon cured in Anglesey sea salt, with buttered iceberg lettuce, fricassee of Penclawdd cockles and Cariad wine. Mains follow suit in this theme of excellence with
delights such as slow-roast belly of local free-range pork with caramelised apples, baby leeks and sage gnocchi.
With food this good you’re bound to be inspired, which is where Llanerch Vineyard can help, with their gourmet cookery school.
