The annual Chipping Steam Fair will be held over the weekend of the 25th, 26th -27th May. With over 450 exhibitors and many new features, the show is one of the North West's premier attractions
This year the annual Bowland festival in June will be replaced by a new 'year-round' calendar of events that celebrate the birds, wildlife, landscape and culture of the Forest of Bowland AONB.

Southport Flower Show runs from the 15th-18th August and is one of the largest, most diverse and friendliest shows in the country. Set in the 34 acre Victoria Park, visitors can expect to see spectacular show gardens, water features and 1 million beautiful blooms. It's the ideal opportunity to chat to gardening celebrities, browse the arts & crafts and sample the best produce in the fine foods marquee, with cookery demonstrations by celebrity chefs.
For the family there is live music, arena entertainment and plenty for the youngsters including the new Kidz Kr8, a marquee dedicated to educate children about our environment, healthy eating, physical developmental and outdoor fun.
It's a great day out for the whole family! Children under 16 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

The 30th August sees the Big Switch on Blackpool Illuminations. At 10 kilometres long and using over one million bulbs, the illuminations are an awesome spectacle and run until the 3rd November. The 69th Annual Hodder Valley Show is on Saturday 14 September, 2013 in Newton in Bowland. The event is a traditional agricultural and horticultural show, being the perfect family day out, with something for everyone to enjoy. Every year the show is visited by upwards of 3000 people, experiencing a slice of rural life in an idyllic setting.
