Hush Heath vineyards

Hush Heath Manor

The story begins here, in deepest Kent, with a perfectly manicured vineyard, shielded from the modern world by 400 acres of ancient, virgin woodland. Welcome to Hush Heath Estate, the epic setting to Balfour-Lynn's visionary creations.

They call it Balfour. There isn't pink champagne in the whole world quite like it. No wonder it's sending the French into a fizz. And then there's the Apple Juice...

With its fine soils, mild climate and long history of fruit growing, the Weald of Kent is the home to the finest vineyards planted in the UK in the last 50 years.  Recently, with warmer growing conditions making the production of quality sparkling wines a reality, France's best known Champagne houses have begun to cast an enviable eye on the UK.  And so, Balfour's vineyards were conceived.

The vineyard sites were chosen for their southerly aspect and shelter from the prevailing south westerly winds both of which help the grapes to capture the maximum amount of sunshine to grow and ripen.  The characteristic Wealden Clay that overlies the Tunbridge Wells sands also give the vines ideal conditions for establishment and fruiting with enough moisture even in dry seasons.

"England's most exclusive Pink Fizz", Balfour Brut Rosé is grown on Hush Heath Estate from three classic Champagne varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Hush Heath Manor Apple Juice is created in the Garden of England in the traditional fruit growing Weald area of Kent. Nurtured from first flower until perfect ripeness, our orchard apples are handpicked, pressed and bottled to taste just as nature intended. Naturally.
