Hafod Rhug Uchaf is a traditional stone built cottage that is located next to the main farm house where the owners live. From the property there are views over Caernarfon Bay towards Anglesey and Llanddwyn beach with its lighthouse, and on a clear autumn day you may be able to see the Wicklow mountains of Ireland.
We are situated in beautiful Snowdonia in the village of Waunfawr, which has a village shop, a fish and chip shop, and the local pub serves real ale which is brewed at the premises and home cooked meals. They also have a family room. You will find all you need for a wonderful holiday with beaches, mountains, places of interest and plenty of activities for every age.
Hafod Rhug Uchaf has been carefully renovated to retain the original charm of the property. There are beamed ceilings, and open fireplace for you to enjoy. However at Hafod Rhug Uchaf you will also find modern appliances to make your stay as comfortable as possible and making this property a combination of the best of both worlds!
Downstairs there is a comfortable lounge with beamed ceiling and open fire place Freeview Television, DVD player and a great selection of DVDs; a separate dining room/sitting room with a cottage style three piece suite to enjoy the views, dining table and chairs; a modern fitted kitchen with an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and washing machine. oil central heating and double glazing throughout keeps you warm during winter lets.
Upstairs the property sleeps five in two comfortable double bedrooms and a cosy single bedroom. The airy bathroom contains a bath, separate shower, a toilet and hand washbasin. Linen and towels are provided, and we can also provide a travel cot if you wish.
Outside there is a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ area for you to enjoy. Here you can look over our grazing sheep down to Caernarfon Castle and the lighthouse in the distance before your eyes move towards the open sea.
There is a welcoming pack on arrival,which includes, milk,tea,coffee sugar, butter and homemade bara brith (fruit cake).
Visitor Changeover on Saturdays. The property will be available from 3:30pm, and guests asked to vacate by 10:00am on the morning of departure.
We do not accept pets and the property has a No Smoking Indoors policy.
We provide :
