Introduction

Located in the North Downs at Westenhanger, Folkestone Racecourse is Kent's only horse racing venue.

18/12/2012 - THIS RACE COURSE IS NOW CLOSED. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF IT WILL OPEN AGAIN FOR RACING.

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Folkestone is host to over twenty days of racing a year, both Flat and National Hunt.
With a wide range of excellent conferencing facilities and banqueting suites, we are located just 15 minutes from Ashford and 90 minutes from Central London. Whether you are planning a meeting, organising a private function or entertaining guests, Folkestone Racecourse is the perfect venue for your event.


Important information

Pets
There are no dogs allowed on course, except for guide dogs.

Dress code
We do have a dress code which is smart casual, with no jeans or trainers. Most people like to dress up for the races particularly in the summer months.

Photography
Photography is permitted around the racecourse, however flash photography near any horse, including the parade ring, the winners enclose and racetrack is strictly prohibited. Please disarm your flash in these areas to avoid stress to the horses.

Cash
A cashpoint withdrawal facility is situated in the main grandstand.

Disabled Access and Facilities
Entry for wheelchair users and carers - Free (One carer per wheelchair user).
Disabled parking spaces are available so please ask one of our raceday stewards who will direct you to our reserved parking area.
Other facilities include:
-Disabled toilets on the ground floor of the Grandstand.
-Lift to the first floor restaurant.
-Carers are admitted to the racecourse free of charge.
-Raised viewing area with ramps accessible by wheelchairs.
