Fal River Festival 2012

Fal River Festival 2012

...celebrating life on the river

The Fal River Festival is a ten day spectacular celebrating life on and around the River Fal, and the 2012 renewal promises to be the biggest and best yet.

The festival, which will this year run from June 1st - June 10th, is now into its 7th year having only been established in 2006.

A hugely diverse mix of events and attractions take place at numerous locations dotted around the river Fal, offering the chance to sample life on the river and enjoy everything connected with it.

The event – now known as the Greenbank Fal River Festival and a not-for-profit festival - comprises over 150 events blending arts & culture, music, food, literature, drama, industry, gardens, sports and history.

During the 2011 Fal River Festival more than 100,000 people attended a range of different events,  helping raise £75,000 for charity while guzzling over 3,000 pints of ale, lager and cider!

Events on the agenda for this year include the Fal River Walk, Castle to Castle Swim, Fal Fish Festival, the award-winning Film on the Fal and the opening Beer Fleet Parade.
