Country Ways Farm Holiday Cottages near Barnstaple
An introduction to Country Ways Farm Holiday Cottages near Barnstaple
Six holiday cottages, 3/4 star, dog friendly, wheelchair friendly, near Barnstaple.
Six holiday cottages in beautifully converted stone barns hidden away on a small Devon farm with lovely gardens and magnificent views. The Warren
The Warren is the largest of the six cottages at Country Ways, it has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 7 people. It is very spacious inside, has a well equipped kitchen, walled garden with its own barbeque and lots of exposed beams giving a characterful feel to the cottage. The Cuckoo's Nest
The Cuckoo's Nest has 3 bedrooms - one with a king size bed, one with a double and one with 3' bunk beds. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room. The property also boasts a well equipped kitchen, good quality television, video, DVD, cd player and playstation. The Den
The Den is next door to The Cuckoo's Nest and is very similar in style, the only difference being the size. It too has an open plan living room and kitchen upstairs but only one double bedroom, along with a large bathroom downstairs. There is also a sofa bed in the living area upstairs. As with all our cottages The Den is very well equipped. Orchard Cottage
Orchard Cottage sleeps 6 and is also suitable for wheelchairs, being all on one level, no steps and with doors wide enough for wheelchairs. There is easy access to the garden for wheelchairs and the garden is completely enclosed making it ideal for young children and dogs. The Dray
The dray is always a favourite cottage with couples. It is very cute and cosy but still has a light and airy feel as it is all open plan. There is a stable door at the top of the slate steps and once inside the living area is upstairs and the bedroom and bathroom downstairs.
Country Ways is lucky to be in a region with so much to do with Exmoor to the north and Dartmoor to the south. The beaches are also all very different with the lovely rocky cove and cliffs to the north and the long sandy surfing beaches to the west of us.
However it may be that a wander around the harbour at Lynmouth or along the cobbled streets of Appledore is more your style. Srolling down the narrow streets of Clovelly is also very popular with our guests, although walking back up the steep hill is not always treated with such enthusiasm.
Children always love the sea and surfing lessons are available at Croyde. If the weathers bad you can use Cascades, the indoor adventure pool at Croyde, or go to one of the many visitor attractions such as the Milky Way Adventure Park or the Big Sheep near Bideford. For adult visitors to north devon there are also top quality places to visit - Rosemoor Gardens, Arlington Court, Tapeley Park to name but a few.
