Self Catering Holiday Cottages and B & B in the Peak District - our traditional working sheep farm is situated at 1200' above sea level, on the quiet, unspoiled western side of the Peak District National Park.

Our traditional working sheep farm is situated at 1200 ft above sea level, on the quiet, unspoiled western side of the Peak District National Park in Rainow, near Macclesfield, Cheshire. We enjoy excellent open countryside with far-reaching views over the Cheshire Plain to the Welsh mountains.

On the farm we have five 4* B & B rooms and two 4* self catering holiday cottages. We are ideally located for exploring the magnificent scenery of the Peak District and Cheshire, with many footpaths straight from the door, from quiet rambles to tough hill walking on rugged moors.

We have two adjoining holiday cottages, Croft Cottage which sleeps 6, and Meadow Cottage which sleeps 4. Both cottages can be booked together and they can be opened up to sleep a group of 10.

New from August 2012 is Cook Hill Cottage sleeps 8, a lovingly renovated 16th century barn blessed with fantastic views, located on the outskirts of the village of Rainow in the Peak District. With plently of off road parking and a large outside area with patio seating.

Cook Hill cottage has 4 bedrooms including a ground floor twin bedroom with level access and a wet room designed for full wheelchair access. There are three bedrooms on the upper floor, one of which is ensuite with a king sized bed.

The other two rooms on the upper floor (a single with a sofa bed and another king sized bedroom) share a spacious bathroom with a separate bath and shower.

With free wi-fi as well as cosy underfloor heating throughout, supplied by eco-friendly underground heat source pump.

Also a spacious kitchen with a large range, country oak dining table and 32” LCD TV.

The cottage also has two lounge areas, one on the upper floor and one on the lower floor. Each lounge is equipped with a large LCD TV and large sofas. The upper floor lounge is also equipped with a games console.

Please contact the owners for up to date prices.

Holiday Cottages

Both Croft and Meadow cottages were previously used as haylofts for our working farm, but have since been renovated to a very high standard as self catering holiday cottages. The spacious interior retains many of its original features including oak beams and exposed stone work giving the place warmth and character. The cottages also benefit from modern luxuries such as free Wi-Fi throughout and cosy under floor heating. The cottages have been turned upside down to take advantage of the properties character and views of the surrounding Peak District countryside - which can be best appreciated from the first floor living area, hence the unusual layout.

Both cottages have a lounge with a large colour TV, free-view channels, DVD player and a play station. There is also an integral kitchen/dining room with a microwave, oven, hobs, kettle and come fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and some essentials for when you first arrive like tea bags, coffee and sugar. Both  cottages have a bathroom with a  power shower. There is oil central heating and under floor heating throughout both cottages with all fuel and power included in the price of the cottage. All bed linen and towels are also included in the price of the cottage.

Both cottages have their own separate patio area with garden furniture and plenty of off-road parking.

Cots, highchairs and stair gates are available upon request.

Sorry, no pets and no smoking please.
