the short 3rd hole

Chorleywood Golf Club

At the heart of Chorleywood’s picturesque common lies the oldest golf course in Hertfordshire.

The club was founded in 1890 when the common was the property of the local Lord of the Manor, John Gilliat, who gave his agreement to the continued use of the common by golfers that year.

Visit the Chorleywood Golf Club Website.

The 9 hole course is a short 5686 yards long, par 68, but nevertheless an excellent test of golf with tree lined fairways and heather to punish off line or over ambitious strokes.

Visitors are welcome Monday to Friday and green fees are very reasonable being just £15 for 9 holes or £10 for a twilight round.
