Chantry cottage with its “chocolate box” looks is situated in the picturesque Peak District village of Ashford in the Water near Bakewell. The cottage is in a central location overlooking the church and just a short stroll away from the famous Sheep Wash bridge. The village is positioned on the River Wye, one and a half miles north of Bakewell and just a few minutes drive from Chatsworth House.
The village has two pubs (The Bull's Head and the Ashford Arms) and a hotel which also caters for non-residents. The village also has a coffee shop and an invaluable local shop that stocks almost everything you may need!

Chantry cottage can accommodate up to 6 people.We have a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and bunk bedded room. There is a family bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower and toilet. The lounge has a feature fireplace with multi-fuel stove, there is a separate dining room, and downstairs toilet. The kitchen is complete with built-in oven, grill, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a conservatory overlooking the private garden. This is ideal for BBQ’s or just simply relaxing with a drink after a days walking in the peaks.
The cottage is available weekly from Friday 3.00pm to Friday morning 10.00am, or for weekends, Friday 3.00pm to Monday 10.00. Other arrangements may be possible with prior agreement.

DIRECTIONS
Ashford in the Water is ideally situated to explore the Derbyshire peak district situated at the junction of the A6 and A6020. It can be easily reached from the M1 junction 29 (Chesterfield) and following the A619, alternatively following the A6 from the south.
