Llyn starts at Pwllheli and reaches out to Bardsey Island, forming an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" offering many areas protected by the National Trust as Wales' Heritage Coastline. Slightly south of the village of Abersoch near the town of Pwllheli, Bwlch Tocyn is easily reached from the main routes into North Wales. Great beaches, internationally recognised sailing waters, pleasant climate and beautiful scenery, all set in the heartland of the Welsh language - provide a special combination.
