Blue Boar Inn
An introduction to The Blue Boar Inn
- Wireless Broadband
The Blue Boar Inn, in Great Ryburgh, is an old country coaching inn dating back to 1685. It is now listed, and this rambling building has three floors, with beamed ceilings
The different floor levels of the Blue Boar Inn reflect how it has been altered and adapted over time.
The beamed bar has a large inglenook fireplace, giving a warm welcome on any day.
The village pub has recently enjoyed a revival, after James and Melinda bought it in 2008. They have spent a great deal of time and money restoring it to its former role as a delightful village pub with great food. James, a chef, has earned his reputation at various fine establishments in the county.
The charming restaurant seats up to 50 people, and may be booked for functions and parties, or you can join other diners and have a cosy table for two or more.
The extensive blackboard menu changes regularly, depending on what is in season, but you will always find delicious home cooked, local food, served in pleasant surroundings.
