Barley Villa Farm Nr Broad Haven Pembrokeshire
An introduction to Barley Villa Farm Nr Broad Haven Pembrokeshire
A warm traditional welcome of tea and home made cake awaits your arrival on our 20 acre smallholding situated on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park.
Our comfortable home overlooks woodland and landscape scenes of fields, hedgerows and seasonal flowers. Our garden is a haven for birdlife with greater spotted woodpeckers; nuthatches; sparrows; finches; robins; blue tits, great tits and coal tits visiting our feeding tables throughout the day and especially at breakfast time.
Ron and Sandra have gained a reputation for friendly hospitality in a warm welcoming atmosphere with many of our guests returning time and time again to enjoy the personal and unpretentious service we offer - or perhaps it is the tea and cake Sandra offers guests on arrival!
From our location a host of activities and interests are catered for: walking, cycling and horseriding; boating and fishing; historic country houses and castles. We are just 6 miles West of the old market town of Haverfordwest and 5 miles from the old fishing Port of Milford Haven, now a modern marina.
Nearby is the sailing village of Dale and local sandy bays of Broad Haven, Little Haven, Newgale, Sandy Haven and Marloes Sands. We are about halfway along the 186-mile coastal path renowned for its spectacular views and beaches and on route for visiting offshore Islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm famous for their Gannets, Manx Shearwaters and popular Puffins that nest on Skomer during the Summer months.
Pembrokeshire has something to offer everyone and Barley Villa is an ideal place to stay whilst savouring the beauty and attraction of this wonderful area
To our North lies St David's, the smallest city in Great Britain, with its magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace and is very popular with our visitors. To the South lies Tenby, Pembroke, Manorbier and Bosherston Lilly ponds.
Barley Villa is a non-smoking establishment catering for adults and young people over fourteen.
Our twin bedroom with en-suite shower room overlooks our pony paddock, while the double en-suite bedroom overlooks our garden and patio, an area where you are welcome sit and relax after a busy day. All rooms have hospitality trays with tea, coffee and biscuits, central heating, hair-dryer, radio and comfortable beds with small library of books and magazines.
Relax in the comfortable lounge/diner and enjoy a real coal fire on chilly evenings - watch television or play the selection of board games provided for guests - if you can stay awake long enough after a busy day exploring Pembrokeshire!
We have ample private parking for cars and boats and bicycle storage.
Enjoy our traditional cooked breakfasts using local Pembrokeshire produce. We offer a delicious breakfast where guests can help themselves to a choice of cereals or muesli, grapefruit, prunes and fruit juice, followed by grilled bacon and sausages from our local butcher, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and farm eggs cooked the way you like them - fried, poached or scrambled.
