With the marvellous scenery on offer in this wonderful area this cottage makes a fabulous romantic retreat for two people any time of year.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property feedback

The cottage was lovely, very welcoming and homely. The extras in the cottage were very much appreciated - butter, bread, milk, tea. Some sauces, spices and rice were also left in the cupboards from the previous tenants which was brilliant as it made it easier to cook meals without buying (and wasting) brand new items. The information on various local walks left in the cottage was also great - we had things to do every day and got to see lots of the beautiful Lake District scenery.

,Wood Cottage is a beautiful, quaint cottage in a good location tucked away from the high street but within minutes of the town. The standard of cleanliness was very high and the owners of the cottage left us lovely little touches, fresh milk and bread, tea, coffee, biscuits, flowers and wine.
