The Kings Arms represents the most recent adventure by Oakman Inns, who have taken the opportunity to breath new life into this beautiful and historical 18th Century coaching inn in the bussling High Street of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire and creating a stylish bar, grill and restaurant with 15 en-suite rooms.

Staying at The Kings Arms: whether visiting for business or leisure, the 15 en-suite, boutique-style rooms all offer a superior level of comfort. Characteristic of the Oakman fusion of traditional and contemporary design, each room is individually decorated and furnished, and named after a character from Graham Greene’s novels.

Room Details:
Several rooms feature four-poster beds, and family suites are also available. All rooms benefit from:

TARIFF: rooms cost from £90.00 per night for a single room to £195.00 for a character suite.  A family room is available at £140.00 per night.

The Bar. Relax at any time of the day or evening in our bar and lounge area, where modern and elegant design is complimented by soft seating and open fires with a more traditional feel.  A bar food menu is available all day as well as cakes and pastries to compliment our range of teas, coffees and soft drinks.  From our drinks list choose from a range of local real ales and fine wines, a selection of champagnes and cocktails. Our spirit selection also offers a wide and diverse range of choices. The bar is open until midnight during the week and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Restaurant
. Aged steaks, fresh fish and the best of local produce feature in our menu that changes with the seasons over breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Functions and Weddings at The Kings Arms. Situated in the original building, The Greene Room, named after author Graham Greene who used to frequent the Kings Arms, is our 80 capacity function room.  With a license for civil wedding ceremonies, our accompanying food and beverage selection and our beautiful bedrooms, this is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding.

Conference and business meeting facilities are available, again with a choice of food and beverage menus and a bar is available within the Greene Room, making it suitable for any kind of celebration, party or occasion. Wi-fi internet access is available throughout.
