The Hayloft Bed and Breakfast where local food tastes "miles" better!!

We serve a delicious breakfast including local dry cured bacon, scrummy sausages and our own free range eggs.

The Hayloft is situated in a central but quiet location in Hartington with all village amentities nearby, with many walks/cycle trails from the door.

Prices - £65 per room per night
Our prices are based on double/twin occupancy including breakfast.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

THE STABLE BEDROOM
Situated on the ground floor, it is a twin room and enjoys a wet-room style en-suite bathroom. Original features in the Stable bedroom include a cart horse door, which has the benefit of being a wide access door.

THE SHIPPON BEDROOM
The second ground floor bedroom is a king-size room and again has the wet-room en-suite. The Shippon bedroom enjoys a window which overlooks our Aberdeen Angus cows in the winter-time munching away contently in the distance.

THE LOFT BEDROOM
An upstairs room, accessed by a lovely stone stair-case (watch out for the pitch-fork in the rafters, out of harms way!) Step through the door into the Loft bedroom and enjoy the ambiance of exposed beams, imagine awaking from a blissful nights sleep in your king-size bed to see the daylight streaming through the loop-hole vents in the wall. This room is again decorated to the highest standards and is equipped with an en-suite shower room.

THE SHEPHERD'S REST BEDROOM
The other upstairs king-size bedroom, in a similar style and finish to the Loft bedroom is called the Shepherd's Rest bedroom in recognition of the the many sheep that have been born in this building. The room again has an en-suite shower room and lovely original features.

- Arrival between 4-7pm (unless by prior arrangement). Thereafter access to rooms all day.

Sennilow Farm
The Bassett family have farmed at Sennilow Farm for three generations. We are an Upland Stock farm of 180 acres, with some land in the Countryside Environmental Stewardship Scheme, as well as some daleside being classed as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

A long while a go we used to milk cows in the shippon and stable, but now we have mainly Aberdeen Angus Beef cattle, suckler cows and their calves, and breeding sheep -- these being mainly mules or texel cross mule sheep, which do well "up in the hills".

We try to farm in harmony with the environment where possible and preserve the glorious landscape which surounds us.

The Hayloft Bed and Breakfast is a member of Peak District Cuisine, BESST (Business and the Environment linked through Small-Scale Tourism) and the Peak District Farm Holiday Group.

Attractions and great days out for all the family to enjoy in and around the Peak District. From beautiful and very grand stately homes - Chatsworth House is just a must see - to donkey sanctuaries, stone henges, delightful dales, splendid estates, theme parks, ancient caverns and caves, fabulous farm shops and more.

The Peak District offers something special for everyone from great Derbyshire pubs to visit, beautiful and historic Derbyshire churches and of course the ancient tradition of Well Dressings.
