The Dovecote is a stone barn conversion cottage very close to the village of Gilling West, three miles from Richmond, and north of the Yorkshire Dales. Boasting four bedrooms, this mostly ground floor cottage has three double bedrooms and one first floor twin bedrooms, as well as a family bathroom and a family shower room. The cottage also has a fitted kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with double sofabed and an open fire. Outside, this cottage has ample off road parking, plus a private patio and gardens with furniture and BBQ. The Dovecote is a perfect holiday cottage for families or groups of friends, who want to explore this magnificent area.

Fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Private patio & gardens with furniture & BBQ. Shared use of courtyard. Free fly fishing in well-stocked lake, free coarse fishing in 2nd lake, by prior arrangement. Use of private hot tub by prior arrangement at additional cost - please contact owner for further information. Sorry no smoking. One well behaved dog by arrangement (£20 per week). Shop & pub 5 mins walk.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property feedback

The owners were kindness personified, nothing was too much trouble for them. Their desire to ensure that we had an enjoyable holiday was outstanding. The walks from the cottage were superb, especially the Jaggers' Way walk. Do try the Copper Canyon beer at the Angel Inn.
