The White Cliffs of Dover have been voted the people’s favourite location and Gordon and Marion Chapman would like to welcome you to our home in this lovely part of Kent, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Overlooking the Foreland Valley to the White Cliffs, English Channel and Calais beyond, we feel very privileged to be able to offer accommodation to our guests. Whether you are over-nighting on your way to or from France, or visiting the South East to enjoy the walks and see some of the historic sites, come and enjoy a relaxed and comfortable stay in our home and enjoy the fantastic views. We assure you of a warm welcome.

St Margaret’s is situated 15 minutes drive from the ferry and cruise terminals at Dover and 30 minutes drive to the Channel Tunnel. Canterbury is 15 miles away. It is an ideal centre for exploring the surrounding countryside as well as the cultural and historic towns and coastal areas.

Prices are for the room per night and include breakfast:

The Pink Room: double occupancy £85 to £100; as a family room £110 to £140
The Blue Room: £75 to £90
The Green Room: £55 to £70

A small deduction is made for single occupancy.

Guests are asked to arrive between 5pm and 9pm. - if an earlier or later time is required, this may be possible by special arrangement.

Guests are asked to vacate the premises each day by 10:30 am

Accommodation
We offer 3 well furnished and decorated double/twin rooms, each having their own individual style. Two of the rooms are self contained whilst the third is suitable for children, sharing their parents’ bathroom. All are of a high standard, the emphasis being on comfort. As well as a tea/coffee making tray, extras included fresh flowers, chocolates and mineral water. There are bath robes and thick fluffy towels in the bathrooms, which are well appointed with toiletries. Hairdryers are provided in each room. The house is fully centrally heated with each room having individual thermostatic radiator controls. This is a no smoking house. We do not allow pets. Each room has TV with DVD player and a radio. Free high speed internet access is available. There is plenty of off road parking. The village boasts four pubs, all providing food, as well as two exclusive restaurants. Plenty of restaurants can also be found in Deal and Dover.

THE PINK ROOM: This is a luxury suite with a sitting area and fantastic views over the Channel. The superking size bed can be split into two singles for those who wish. The sitting area has a sofa bed so a family can be accommodated in this room. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower with excellent water pressure and a heated towel rail.

THE BLUE ROOM: is a comfortable, light room with a kingsize bed and two comfortable chairs. The room overlooks a Mediterranean garden at the front and a jungle garden at the side of the house. The private bathroom is adjacent and has a full size bath with an independent shower over the bath.

THE GREEN ROOM: The twin bedded room is suitable for older children who can share their parents’ bathroom. It is comfortably furnished and some children’s books and games are provided.

Breakfast
Included in the tariff is breakfast of your choice. It is served in our dining room with its lovely views across the Foreland Valley to the Channel beyond. All produce is from local sources wherever possible. Fair Trade tea and coffee is served.
Always available: cereals/muesli; fruit juice; yoghurt; tea/coffee

After you have finished eating you may like to enjoy your tea or coffee on the balcony or in the gardens enjoying the views.
The garden is a plantsman’s paradise with a large selection of plants of all different types. There is a stream running into two pools and two terraces with lovely views where guests are welcome to sit and enjoy a drink when the weather is suitable.
