Set in the small rural village of Snainton, a mile from Barnard Castle, this mid-terraced cottage makes a lovely cosy base for a romantic break or family holiday. There are two bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. There is also a family bathroom, a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with an electric fire in an attractive fireplace. Outside, a small front garden with furniture makes an ideal spot for a BBQ, and there is also off road parking for a few cars. Barnard Castle has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the castle ruins, riverside walks and narrow cobbled alleyways to explore. There is great walking through the Teesdale countryside, and impressive waterfalls including High Force, within easy reach.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
Property feedback
The cottage was so peaceful, clean and comfortable. Welcoming you felt as though the people who owned the cottage had put a lot of love into it and the energy was amazing. Amenities were excellent, Barnard Castle was really lovely and the walks were stunning. It was certainly everything we were looking for from a holiday.

,The weather was very good, access to nearby town - Barnard Castlle was excellent and the cottage was very comfortable. The area was very quiet, and the owner was very prompt and helpful when I asked how to switch on the heating.
