Description of property

This traditional, semi-detached cottage on a working sheep farm owned by the National Trust is just over half a mile from the hamlet of Newlands and only five miles from Keswick. This property is set in some of the finest countryside of the Lake District and is well positioned for exceptional views of the valley and surrounding fells. The property has been fully renovated to provide a snug sitting room, wood-burning stove, kitchen with dining table, beautiful bathroom and two bedrooms. With great walks throughout the local area, this is a wonderful destination for those who love the great outdoors.

Small library of books. Electricity & fuel for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Storage shed for coats/boots. Patio area, small garden with furniture & BBQ. One well behaved dog welcome (to be kept under control, and only in the kitchen/diner at all times). Sorry, no smoking. Shops & pubs 2 miles. Note: Property is on a working sheep farm.

Pricing information

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
