This beautiful detached cottage was once a stable block and has been skilfully converted to provide holiday accommodation full of character. The well-equipped kitchen has a real farmhouse feel with its stone floor and large dining table. The handsome fireplace in the sitting room and the exposed beams give the room an inviting quality and with the French windows looking out over the stunning views, the room is light and airy and a fabulous place to relax. The bedrooms are a delight and offer a calm and restful haven for the end of the day, and there is a super bathroom serving the property. There is a lawn and patio outside making the cottage a wonderful base to be enjoyed all year round.

Full oil-fired central heating with additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, colour TV, video etc. All fuel, power and initial supply of fuel for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Secure off road parking for 2 cars. Garden with lawn and patio, which opens onto the surrounding fields. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shop 5 miles, pub 20 minutes walk (5 mins drive). Note: No children between the ages of 2 and 6 years.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Very helpful, friendly hosts. Lovely property and surrounding villages - rover through property etc. close to Dales, moors etc. Lovely 'farm stay' type of property; horses, sheep, cattle, ducks, rabbits etc. Quaint villages all round the area. Great food ales and friendly service at 'The Lord Nelson', couple of miles down the road.

,Loved the area and particularly the fact that you overlooked the wonderful countryside with horses in the meadows, a pond and the river Tees. I would recommend this area and particularly the cottage to anyone who wanted a 'switch-off' holiday. The owners were helpful and welcoming. All in all a place to recharge your batteries.
