Golden Acre Holiday Park in Eype, Bridport

Golden Acre is a small, private holiday park & is probably the most 'dog friendly' you will find. 'Five star' as recommended by our Canine visitors! We are situated in the old smugglers village of Eype, just a short stroll to our dog friendly beach.

We welcome you to the beautiful Jurassic coastline of Dorset - the setting for Golden Acre Holiday bungalows where your dogs are welcome to join you for a tail wagging holiday catering specifically for you and your pets.
 
The beach which is Marine Conservation Society recommended, is excellent for rambling with your dog, fossil hunting, geology and fishing. For the anglers, deep sea and mackerel-boats sail from nearby West Bay, Lyme regis and Weymouth but fishing straight from the coast can also provide an excellent catch.
 
Take a walk through time that includes the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods of Earths history. With breathtaking views come and visit the the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site which is England's first natural World Heritage Site - known as 'The Jurassic Coast'. It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history. Its World Heritage status ranks it alongside a select group of globally important natural sites such as The Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon!!  
 
Eype itself is a pretty 'olde' English village believed to have been a smugglers haunt! An excellent pub, The New Inn, where dogs are welcome, and hotel with a 'dog friendly' 'Smugglers' bar open to non-residents offer a warm welcome to all visitors whilst extending the English tradition of good food and ale.
 
Our park and the beach welcome your dogs so please bring them with you to enjoy a fabulous break in one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

We have no bars, clubs or swimming pools - just peace and quiet, lovely countryside and stunning walks.
 
Although we welcome children please note that our park has no facilities for them.

Please Note: Dogs are allowed on our beach 'all year round' 
 
Bungalows
 
Each bungalow has a kitchen area with cooker, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and the usual cooking utensils. They also have electric heating (electricity is included in the price), LCD flat screen TV's with digital freeview and Wi-Fi internet access.
 
Duvets and pillows are provided however we ask that you bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels.
 
All bungalows have a front door opening onto the garden area. The 'C' Types have patio doors from the living room.
 
The landscaped grounds are open plan, laid mainly to lawn.
 
Car parking is allocated and close to the bungalows.

We have one Type B (2 Bedroom) bungalow with LIMITED disabled facilities.

All prices are for a 7 night stay from Friday to Friday. Prices are INCLUSIVE of electricity and pets. We DO NOT charge a booking fee or a charge for Dogs.
