Comments from guests
"I just wanted to say 'THANK YOU' - we had a lovely time at East Lodge Cottage - we have been staying in cottages for 20+ years and this is definitely one of the very best - just like staying in a friend's home, so well equipped and comfortable and the situation is ideal : we really did not want to leave yesterday!!"
Bakewell is the perfect centre from which to visit Derbyshire. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are only ten minutes away, and there are many beautiful walks such as Monsal Dale, Dovedale and Lathkill Dale. There are a host of interesting places to visit, including the Spa towns of Buxton and Matlock Bath and the “Blue John” mines at Castleton.
Bakewell itself is well know for its Monday Market and of course the delicious Bakewell pudding! Bakewell also has a host of pubs, restaurants and shops to visit all a five minute walk from East Lodge Cottage.
