BLUEBELL COTTAGE, TIDESWELL - MAP

This is a pretty 17th Century cottage, formerly an Inn. It's restored to a high standard retaining original beams and charm and nestles in a quiet street in the centre of Tideswell close to shops, tearooms and pubs.

The accommodation includes:

  • beamed sitting room with stone fireplace with logburner, TV, DVD/CD, books, puzzles and games help you feel at home.

  • oak refectory dining table seats up to 10

  • fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, double oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, ironing facilities and a fridge with icebox.

  • bathroom with bath with shower over, lighted mirror with shaver point, lavatory and handbasin.

  • There are three bedrooms:
    - The family room has a double bed and steep steps leading to a galleried sleeping area in the eaves with a second double bed. This room has a small TV and an en-suite shower room with lighted mirror with shaver point, lavatory and handbasin.
    - The second bedroom has a double bed and garden views.
    - The spacious third bedroom has twin beds.

  • There's also a sofa bed in the sitting room which sleeps an extra person.

  • fully gas centrally heated.

  • All rooms are tastefully furnished with good quality furniture and antiques.

  • The walled garden is gated and has a small wildlife pond, paved areas, and patio furniture. The stone outbuilding is ideal for storing bikes (bring own padlock for door).

This is a pretty 18th century cottage set in a peaceful spot on the edge of the village, just five minutes walk from the centre.It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (one with ensuite). It has lovely rural views and backs on to fields and open spaces.

The kitchen and bathrooms have recently been refitted and refurbishment of the living areas has just been completed (Spring 2010) and this has included complete redecoration of the cottage, replacement of the fireplace and installation of a logburner, new carpets thorughout and new sofas.

The accommodation includes:

  • sitting room with plenty of seating around a Derbyshire stone fireplace with clogburner. There is a 32 inch widescreen LCD TV with FREESAT, DVD/CD player, games and books to make you feel at home.

  • Oak dining table seats 6 and overlooks the sunny walled garden, there is a high chair..

  • Kitchen fully equipped to include washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave, ironing facilities and a fridge with icebox.

This is a pretty 18th Century, grade 2 listed, mid- terraced cottage in Cressbrook with latticed mullioned windows. It's at the heart of the village near the pub and has breathtaking views over Monsal Dale. It is furnished and equipped to high standards whilst keeping its original charm, and has been awarded a Greenwatch Conservation Award for the restoration of the cottage. The cottage is warm, cosy and welcoming, is centrally heated and has a log burner.

It is well located for walking and exploring the abundance of Peak District attractions. It has superb local shops, pubs and tearooms, which specialise in delicious local produce. Bakewell and Buxton are close by as is Chatsworth House. Alton Towers is a 45 min drive. Many episodes of Peak Practice were filmed locally

CRESSBROOK

Cressbrook is one of the prettiest conservation villages in the Peak District National Park. There's an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants in the local area and an abundance of castles, caverns, stately homes, theme parks and gardens to explore nearby. Many episodes of Peak Practice have been filmed nearby and it's an excellent location for walking with the Monsal Trail just minutes away.

It is close to Bakewell, Buxton and Tideswell where shops specialise in fresh local produce. Chatsworth House and Castleton caves are about ten minutes drive and Alton Towers is an hour away.
